On Thursday 2^nd February City of Leeds hosted a joint rehearsal on the Steel Pans for local primary schools.  These schools have been working with Victoria Jaquiss to learn the Steel Pans.  They are entering ‘Music for Youth’ as a joint performance.  This rehearsal provided the opportunity for Blenheim, Quarry Mount and Shire Oak primary schools to rehearse together. 

The rehearsal involved nearly one hundred students, teachers and parents rehearsing on Steel Pans, djembes, glockenspiels, and percussion for an audience of City of Leeds students.  The afternoon was full of energy and excitement and we would like to wish all the primary schools involved “Good Luck!”
